Philosophy

I believe that we have too much government in too many areas of our lives.

No politician who wants (or needs) to get re-elected is going to cut programs without spending as much, if not more, on their own pet projects. I want to see programs phased out and let people have the freedoms and responsibilities to live their own lives.

I don't believe that we need a government program or law to solve every problem. We are a resourceful, independent people, and we can work together to solve our problems at a local level, without someone in Washington adding bureaucracy and taking credit. Let people invest for their own retirement. Let people defend themselves as they see fit. Let a woman make her own decisions about her body. Let communities decide what to teach in their schools and how to fund them. Let communities decide how to best help their poor.

Just about anything a government program can do, a group of motivated private citizens can do better, less expensively, and faster.
