Philosophy

"Live your life as you want to live it"

I want you to be free to live your life as you want to live it, not as the politicians want you to live it.

Taxes

I want you to be free of the Colorado state income tax, so that you'll be able to decide what to do with your money. I want you to decide whether you'll spend your money, save it, invest it, or donate it to charity. I want you to decide what to do with your money, instead of politicians and bureaucrats deciding for you.

Drugs

I want you to be free of the nightmare of drug prohibition. I want you and your doctor to be able to choose which medicines are best for you, instead of politicians and bureaucrats deciding for you. I will work to end mandatory minimum sentences that lock up non-violent drug offenders longer than murderers, rapists, and child molesters. And I will work to change the laws to make drug addiction a medical problem, rather than a criminal problem.

Guns

I want you to be free to defend yourself and family from criminals. I will not support any gun control law as they disarm victims, while making crime safe for criminals. If drug laws can't keep drugs out of the hands of criminals, why would gun laws keep guns out of the hands of criminals? Violent criminals in prison can't obtain guns. I will fight to keep violent criminals in prison far longer than they are today. I will work to pass a Vermont-style weapons carry law.

Education

I want you and your children to be free to pursue the education of your choice, instead of the education that politicians and bureaucrats choose for you. Isn't your children's education too important to let politicians and bureaucrats control it? The only way to take back control of your children's education from the politicians and bureaucrats is to separate school and state. We must end both the Federal and State income taxes, and the Social Security tax so that you'll have the means to send your children to the school of your choice. Then you'll be able to choose a private school that offers the curriculum you want instead of the curriculum politicians and bureaucrats want. You'll be able to choose for yourself whether you want prayer in your school or no prayer, traditional or progressive education, sex education or no sex education, religious or secular education, diversity training or no diversity training. Education choices for your children should be yours and yours alone. Separating school and state puts you in control of your children's education.

Healthcare

I want you to be free to choose the medical treatment you think is best for you, not the treatment politicians think is best for you. I support a free market healthcare system. I will not support any government monopoly healthcare system, and I will not support forcing you into a government run HMO

I'm the best-suited candidate to be your State Senator because I'm the only candidate who wants you to be free to live your life as you wish to live it. The other candidates want you to live your life as they want you to live it.
