"Bring Back Small Government"

My Republican opponent feels that the biggest problem facing Colorado is growth. He's wrong. The only growth problem Colorado faces is the growth of government.

In the name of an unconstitutional and irrational drug prohibition movement, we are surrendering our rights to free speech, privacy and a fair judicial system. So irrational are my opponents on this topic that our society now accepts the concept that sick and terminally ill people should be allowed to suffer and die so that they don't "send the wrong message to our children" by using their medication.

My opponents push for further centralization of a government school monopoly that is failing miserably. No one should be surprised at the results of a one-size-fits-all system on a society where each child is an individual with unique needs. These schools are jeopardizing America's technological lead in the world and threatening our way of life by failing to teach the concepts of the U.S. Constitution.

I consider this state government to be heading in the wrong direction. As a mother of a newborn daughter, I consider the situation so dire that I am compelled to run to ensure that my daughter's future is not permanently derailed by policies of the politicians of the two older parties.

I want to live in a society where people are responsible for their actions and where people are free to live their lives as they see fit. I want to seriously reduce the size of government so that its only function is to protect people's rights -- these are the principles that our great country was founded on. My Republican and Democrat opponents will never decrease the size of government. The only ones who can do it are Libertarians. If we don't fight for liberty, who will?

Many people say they want small government, but do they really mean it? Republicans promise small government, but never deliver on that promise. Government keeps growing, year after year. If you really want small government, if you really want to live your life as you see fit, if you are ready for true freedom, then you must start voting for what you want. Stop wasting your vote on the lesser of two evils and vote for what you want this election year. I urge you to take back your government, take back your liberties and vote Libertarian!
