I trust you to run your life. I will work to reduce government involvement in your personal and economic life. I believe it is not enough to say merely, "Government must run more efficiently." Rather, it is our duty to ask on every issue, "Is this the role of government?" As Denver Election Commissioner I proved my commitment to reducing the size of the commission while improving election efficiency and enhancing voting access for the physically disabled. I will join the Colorado legislature not as a "compassionate conservative" but as a principled Libertarian who trusts you to run your life.
Doug Anderson was born in Boston and has lived in Colorado 25 years. At present he is a real estate investor. Doug's political activism began when he worked on George McGovern's presidential campaign. He found his political home in the Libertarian principles of personal responsibility and individual freedom. In 1987 Doug was elected to serve four years as Denver's Election Commissioner. He has also sat on the Colorado Libertarian Party Board of Directors. Doug is married to Deborah Bishop and enjoys cooking, gardening, and walks with his dogs.
